The demand for cellulose fibres is continuously growing. Reason for this fact is their outstanding sustainability! Cellulose Fibres for textiles have lower environmental impacts than petrochemical fibres and even other natural fibres. In contrast to petrochemical fibres they do not release non-biodegradable microplastics during washing to the waste water.
In addition to this, the sources of cellulose are sustainable. Certified sustainable forestry or side streams from wood and agriculture and waste streams coming into focus. Cellulose fibres are steadily on the way to improve their sustainability profile further.
Three presentations and the subsequent panel discussion will provide a comprehensive and in-depth insight into the topic "Cellulose Fibres: Sustainability and Circular Economy“.
